An unusually quiet Atlantic hurricane season turned on its head this weekend as Hurricane Fiona slammed Puerto Rico with damaging winds and almost 30 inches of rain in some places.
A number of deaths have been reported and emergency responders have rescued round 1,000 folks. Puerto Rican Gov. Pedro Pierluisi mentioned the injury to city areas was “catastrophic,” and rain is anticipated to proceed there till Tuesday night.
